These settings enable users to turn on/off and adjust informative guides that have distinct functions other than visual appeal.

Show/hide orbital trajectories for all planets
Left Toolbar: Toolbar > Gears > Guides > Planet Orbits: On/Off

Equatorial Grid
Show/hide the ICRF equatorial grid on the sky
Left Toolbar: Toolbar > Gears > Guides > Equatorial Grid: On/Off
Top Menu: Menu bar > Guides > Equatorial Grid
Ecliptic
Show/hide ecliptic plane line on the sky
Left Toolbar: Toolbar > Gears > Guides > Ecliptic: On/Off
Top Menu: Menu bar > Guides > Ecliptic
Center Indicator
Show/hide rotating circle around the central object
Left Toolbar: Toolbar > Gears > Guides > Center Indicator: On/Off
Top Menu: Menu Bar > Guides Center Indicator
Info Text
Show/hide selected body and time blue information text blocks in the top corners of the screen
Top Menu: Menu Bar > Guides > Info Text
Left Toolbar: Toolbar > Gears > Guides > Info Text: On/Off
Labels
Show/hide name labels for all bodies
Left Toolbar: Toolbar > Gears > Guides > Labels: On/Off
Top Menu: Menu bar > Guides > Labels
Lat/Long Labels
Show/hide latitude/longitude labels on latitude/longitude grids
Left Toolbar: Toolbar > Gears > Guides > Lat/Long Labels: On/Off
Top Menu: Menu bar > Guides > Lat/Long Labels
Surface Feature Labels
Show/hide names of prominent surface features on all bodies (can be seen when user goes to the body)

Observation Labels
Show/hide observation labels if they are defined in observations’ catalog files

Constellation Figures
Show/hide constellation figures
Left Toolbar: Toolbar > Gears > Guides > Constellation Figures: On/Off

Constellation Names

Star Names
Show/hide names of major stars
Left Toolbar: Toolbar > Gears > Guides > Star Names: On/Off

Status Messages
Show/hide default Cosmographia status messages (e.g. “Go to …”, “Pointing camera at …”) appearing in the middle of the top of the screen

SPICE Messages
Show/hide messages indicating lack of SPICE data, appearing in the middle of the top of the screen

Vector Scaling
Adjust size of vectors on a scale of 0 to 1. This applies to future vectors displayed and does not affect existing vectors
Left Toolbar: Toolbar > Gears > Guides > Vector Scaling, adjust scale from 0 to 1
Plot Trajectory
Plots object’s trajectory of as a colored line relative to its center of motion in the inertial frame.
Object Menu: Right-click object and click Plot Trajectory from the displayed options.
This does not work for sensors and observations.
Top Menu: Select an object. Go to the Menu Bar and click Guides, then click Plot Trajectory.
Keyboard: SHIFT-COMMAND-Z
Plot Trajectory in Observer Frame
Plots selected object’s trajectory as a colored line relative to the central object in the current visualization frame.
Top Menu: Select desired center and rendering frame. Select an object. Go to the Menu Bar and click Guides, then click Plot Trajectory in Observer Frame.
