NOTE: The Movie Recording function is not fully developed in Cosmographia, so using an outside screen recorder such as Voila is suggested. In addition, recording high resolution movies can sharply slow down Cosmographia, but the time step is adjusted so that the recorded movie will be smooth when played.

Steps to Record a Movie Using Cosmographia’s Built-in Recorder

1. Use Left Toolbar > Settings > Interface Settings to select the movie resolution.

2. Press COMMAND-R or click Top Menu > File > Record Video to set the movie filename and start recording

3. The current length of the movie is shown on the bottom of the screen

4. Press COMMAND-R or click Top Menu > File > Record Video again to stop recording.
