Adjusting the Time Rate

Adjusting the time rate means changing the speed and direction of time passage. The rate at which time passes is displayed as a multiple of normal time passage, which is represented by “1x.” Information about time is displayed in the top right corner of the Cosmographia window.

Ways to Adjust the Time Rate

Left Toolbar: Toolbar > Clock icon > Click double arrows to the right of play/pause button.
Top Menu: Menu Bar > Time > 10x Faster
Slow down time by 1/10
Keyboard: COMMAND-K
Left Toolbar: Toolbar > Clock icon > Click double arrows to the left of play/pause button.
Top Menu: Menu Bar > Time > 10x Slower
Speed up time by 2x
Keyboard: SHIFT-COMMAND-L
Top Menu: Menu Bar > Time > 2x Faster
Slow down time by ½
Keyboard: SHIFT-COMMAND-K
Top Menu: Menu Bar > Time > 2x Slower
Reverse time direction
Keyboard: COMMAND-J
Left Toolbar: Toolbar > Clock icon > Click pair of opposite facing arrows in the lower left corner of the screen.
Top Menu: Menu Bar > Time > Reverse
