These settings enable users to adjust technical aspects of the Cosmographia interface, such as changing units or auto-hiding the toolbar. ([4.1+] indicates features available in Cosmographia 4.1 or later.)

3D Text Size
[4.1+] Globally increase or decrease the font size of informative text throughout the program — names of objects, stars, constellations; labels of lon-lat grids; object info, time, status, and SPICE messages; text in Distance/Altitude, Angle, and Sensor boxes — by selecting one of five discrete preset text sizes (xsmall, small, medium, large, and xlarge).
These controls do not affect the size of text used in interactive user controls — top menu, toolbar, context menu, and pop-up boxes (Set Time, Jump to POV, Set Vector Properties, etc).
  • Left Toolbar: Toolbar > Gears > Guides > Text Size, select desired font size
    Top Menu: Menu Bar > Guides > Decrease Text Size
    Top Menu: Menu Bar > Guides > Increase Text Size
    Keyboard: COMMAND- – (Decrease Text Size)
    Keyboard: COMMAND- + (Increase Text Size)
Goto Time
Adjust time taken to Go to an object, from 1 to 20 seconds
  • Left Toolbar: Toolbar > Gears > Interface > Goto Time, adjust scale
SPICE Driven Bodies
Toggle between SPICE-driven natural bodies and the default trajectories for those bodies
  • Left Toolbar: Toolbar > Gears > Interface > Spice Driven Bodies: On/Off
Auto-hide Tool Bar
Hide icons on the left
  • Left Toolbar: Toolbar > Gears > Interface > Auto-hide Tool Bar: On/Off
Units
Switch between metric and imperial units
  • Left Toolbar: Toolbar > Gears > Interface > Units, select desired unit
Recorded Video Resolution
Select desired resolution of video recordings
  • Left Toolbar: Toolbar > Gears > Interface > Recorded Video Resolution, select desired resolution
